A series of more than sixty music performances kicked off on the rooftop of the Lucerna Palace in Prague last weekend. The roof will be open to the public every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday until the end of October and concerts will be orchestrated on each of these days to end with the setting sun
The admission to the rooftop, including the concerts, costs 100 CZK. Beer, coffee and other non-alcoholic drinks as well as ice creams and snacks are available at the venue, too.
The Lucerna rooftop offers 1000 m2 of unique space above the Lucerna palace, a building from 1921 which carries distinctive elements of subsiding Art Nouveau and incoming Modernism. You can enjoy wonderful views of Prague including the Old Town Square, Prague Castle and Petřín Tower from the rooftop.
Among the events having taken place here, there were morning yoga, lectures, book christenings or movie projections. The main mission of the owner of the rooftop is the support of community life, educational and public enlightenment activities, art in public space, the roof as a creative laboratory for development of social innovations and preservation of cultural heritage.
If you’re in Prague, make sure to check out the official event on Facebook to find out more about the date and venue of the upcoming sunset concerts!
